The moment he stabbed the knife into her, the pain in her eyes reflecting the pain in his heart. He believes that she does not know the reason of him doing so, in fact, he himself do not know it as well. His tears fell off his cheek onto her face, to show that his love to her is still there, their love did not expire.
As she fell onto the ground, with so much pain to bear, his heart shattered into pieces, the pain they both felt is greater that the physical pain she suffered.
At the very moment when she took her final breath, he carries her up to their bed room, place her in her usual sleeping position. He slept next to her, humming her favorite song as he held her motionless hand tight, he stabbed himself in the heart.
Nobody knows the reason behind his every action, but it is definite that their love did not expire, all that expire is his sanity, he wants her for himself, nobody but himself.
Love is selfish.
